Build your own one-hour training course in ten minutes

A walkthrough of using KnowledgeMonkey to spin up "Nutrition 101" — ten short lessons you can listen to on a walk, with an AI conversation at the end of each chapter.

You’ve always wanted to understand nutrition properly — not the influencer version, the actual basics. You have one hour. Let’s build the course.

Step 1: Tell KnowledgeMonkey what you want

In the app, tap New course and dictate:

“Build a one-hour training course on Nutrition 101, broken into ten short lessons. Cover macronutrients, micronutrients, energy balance, hydration, and a practical week-of-meals example. Calm, friendly tone. End each lesson with three reflection prompts.”

KnowledgeMonkey turns that into a project — ten lesson cards, each with a draft script, suggested chunks of background reading, and a pre-loaded “chat at the end” prompt.

Step 2: Restructure if you want

Don’t love the order? Drag the lessons into a different sequence. Want a tree view to see how the topics group? Tap the Tree lens. Prefer a mind map? It’s the same data, a different lens.

Step 3: Listen on the move

Plug in your headphones, press Play. KnowledgeMonkey reads each lesson in a high-quality voice. At the end of each chapter, the conversation prompt kicks in — talk back to the AI, ask follow-ups, reflect, or skip ahead.

Anything interesting that comes out of the chat is saved as a new chunk inside the course, so your understanding compounds week after week.

Step 4: Edit on the fly

Hear something off? Just say “let’s rewrite that bit.” KnowledgeMonkey rewrites the lesson in place using the LLM you picked for this project — Claude, GPT, Perplexity, your call.

Step 5: Share if you want

Once you’ve polished it, package the project. Send the link to a friend who also wants to learn nutrition, or open it up for contributors who want to add real-world recipes and citations. Or keep it private — entirely up to you.

The bigger idea

Most “AI tutors” are stuck inside a chat window. KnowledgeMonkey turns that one fleeting conversation into a structured, listenable, shareable course you actually finish — and then return to.

A walk a day, a chapter a day, ten days from now you’ll know more about nutrition than 95% of the internet.
